The Montana Farmers Union is a statewide grassroots organization working for family farmers, ranchers, and rural communities through conferences, scholarships, and other educational opportunities as well as legislative representation and support for producer-owned co-ops.

Services provided by the Schutter Diagnostic Lab include diagnosis of plant diseases, insect damage, and environmental plant problems, as well as visual assessment of herbicide injury to plants. We also provide identification services for plants, insects, and mushrooms and give management recommendations when needed.
Organic Farming Research Foundation works to foster the improvement and widespread adoption of organic farming systems. OFRF cultivates organic research, education, and federal policies that bring more farmers and acreage into organic production.
Rodale Institute is growing the organic movement through rigorous, solutions-based research, farmer training, and consumer education. Rodale aims to expand organic agriculture by assisting farmers in successfully transitioning to organic, conducting research on organic farming methods and their impact, and educating consumers on the benefits of organic for people and planet.
