Montana Department of Agriculture Organic Program Manager

Georgana Webster has been the Organic Program Manager for the Montana State Department of Agriculture since 2011. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science and has, and is, deeply involved in her work and private life with agriculture, university research, livestock production, livestock judging/coaching, 4H, FFA, and agriculture extension. Outside of work traveling, hiking, judging livestock and dressage riding are outlets. Since her career in organic certification began in 2005 Georgana has conducted over 1,400 inspections in every aspect of certification in the Pacific Northwest and Great Plains regions. She has conducted investigations into fraudulent activities and complex compliance investigations, as well as facilitated compliance of the MTDA Organic Program with various accreditation standards. Service, efficiency, sound and sensible decisions with action are the basis for work in the MTDA Organic Program.
