Climate Disruption, Agriculture and Crop Insurance: What are the Connections?

February 25 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm MST

Climate disruption is a crisis that according to best scientific evidence suggests the need for farmers and ranchers to explore increasing risks to both the yields and prices of the products they produce. Though there are many ways to reduce these risks, subsidized federal crop insurance remains a critical tool for some protection. This webinar will explore crop insurance basics, how to assess price and yield risks in you location, and outline important benefits and limitations of the array of crop insurance products that are available. In this hour session, time will be available for participants to ask questions about their issues in confronting increasing price and yield risks.
