The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) emphasizes voluntary, science-based assistance, partnerships, and cooperative problem solving at the community level through the locally-led conservation process. In Montana, NRCS has shifted to Montana Focused Conservation for targeting local resource concerns and goals with EQIP funds in addition to the usual national EQIP initiatives, CSP, ACEP, and RCPP. Contact your local NRCS office for information about how to be involved with your Local Working Group. Learn more about the technical and financial assistance that may be available through NRCS at http://www.mt.nrcs.usda.gov.
